When there are things in your life that you desperately want to change…
When you know you are doing pretty good but haven’t been able to unleash your Rockstar Self yet…
When you have tried and failed many times to find joy and fulfillment in modulating and modifying the world around you…
That is when you have to take a U-turn to start a quest inward…
And that is what you define ‘Spirituality’ as.
“Spirituality’ __this seemingly boring and uncool term can be further described as____ the steps taken to align and connect with the Infinite Intelligence, that’s within us and yet much greater than us.
It is the path to uncover the ultimate truth by connecting to:
- the Soul
- the Capital ‘S’ Self
- the Inner Wisdom
- the ‘Being’
This is an exciting and adventurous journey,
____ To discover unconditional joy____ Joy that is not dependent on how another person behaves, or how our circumstances are, or how much we own or achieve. (Sounds elusive, right!!!)
____To answer the fundamental questions of Life (only if we stop and ponder how important they are or they can be) like, what am I? What is this world? Why am I here? What is my relation to it?
Describing Spirituality more than this is totally indigestible I know.
But, those of you who have already dipped their toe in the ‘self-help and spirituality’ pond like me or those of you who are still wondering what this ‘weird and abstract’ stuff is all about, let me tell you, that the first few steps we possibly can take to understand it are really very simple and they are totally worth taking. Here they are___
- To be curious and willing to know.
- To take time out to read, watch and listen to some personal growth and spirituality stuff which resonates to us.
- To have an open mind to new concepts and perspectives.
- To explore and experiment with them.
- To change the mindset from a victim to a creator.
- To start being inclusive rather than exclusive.
- To look for ways to remove old negative blocks and beliefs.
- Consistently practicing suitable meditation, mindfulness, breathwork, chanting or any such soul-searching technique.
Lesser anxiety, frustration, anger, insecurities and greater fulfillment, mental peace, vitality, joy is guaranteed.
PS: I am not a Zen monk or an enlightened being; not even a philosopher or preacher. In fact, I do have a lot of insecurities, fears, judgements, resentments and anger to be processed. But I am now aware of the fact that they can be gotten rid of progressively. And I have started some inner work to dissolve them, as well as connect with ‘Genie in Me’ to experience amazing results.
You can start out with nothing, and out of nothing, and out of no way, a way will be made.
