Our mind is not static. It is wired for change and has the ability to constantly rewire itself. It is like a transmitter, it takes information and tries to match it with our reality, i.e., we act in a way that is consistent in what we think and believe. It is a known fact that if we constantly complain, gossip, find excuses, etc., it will make it much easier to find things to be upset about, regardless of what is happening around us. Likewise, if we constantly search for opportunities, abundance, love, and things to be grateful for, it will make it much easier to find a reflection of those things around us. It takes practice, but over time, this is a very powerful way to reshape our reality.
Listing down some psychological facts. Reflect on how they can be employed to you personally to reap benefits.
- Our mind loves what is familiar.
Make ‘believing in yourself’ familiar. Make negative thinking and self-sabotaging unfamiliar.
- Imagination is more powerful than knowledge and logic.
It all starts in the mind, ‘if you can see it, you can achieve it.’ Think big. Tell your mind what you want. Think massive images of abundance. Our potential expands as we move toward it.
- Our mind learns by Repetition.
If we consistently feed our mind with positive affirmations and positive images, it would start searching and mirroring them in our life. So is the case when there is a lot of negativity feeding in.
- Mind needs specific and accurate information to work toward that.
The goals we set and dreams we see, must be communicated clearly with our mind. ‘Clarity breeds mastery’ they say.
- Mind responds to pictures in our head and words we say to ourselves.
Keep a check on self-talk. Make dialogues which are empowering and motivating ones. Visualize yourself as a happy, contented and strong person. Or whatever that holds important to you.
- Encouragement reinforces the right things.
Reward yourself in small wins and small acts of kindness. It solidifies and reinforces that ‘doing the right thing’, especially in difficult situations- is what matters most.
- Decide what you want — not what you don’t want.
Analyze and decide your priorities. Focus your time and energy on them completely. Ignore all the ‘what ifs’
- Use Optimistic Autosuggestion.
Always think of what you have to do as easy and it will become so. Trust me!!!!
“Isn’t it a paradox that we want the new version of everything, but we fear to change our mind?”
